The Watchful Eye, originally produced as a counter protest for the outrages at Charlottesville in 2017, I have recreated the Watchful Eye in response to the current emergency we are experiencing in Minnesota and across the US with proceeds to benefit the ACLU.
Sometimes the simple act of direct acknowledgement can help to diminish the power pf hidden malevolence. We turn on lights to dispel shadows and to symbolically banish ghosts, to drive back the things that hide in the dark. Bringing forth the ancient tradition of wearing a talisman in the shape of a watchful eye to deflect darkness directed by others.
