Moonflower Ring Sterling Silver pre-order

 Cast in Sterling Silver, this ring features a hand carved softly opened moonflower set upon two broad leaves, Please see all images for an example of this ring when worn.

Moonflower flower blossoms represent intuition, transformation, a hidden secret love and the sweet beauty of true romance. Moonflowers as their name indicates, open at night revealing a deeply scented center that is of particular attraction to night moths seeking pollen.  I carved this representation of the flower with these wide petals almost in a deep  cushion form where a 4mm faceted or cabochon gemstone is set. the moonflower, much like the datura, has tiny pointed petal tips. I have elongated these tips and wrapped them around the flower in an intentional hyper-stylized design evocative of the art nouveau appreciation for whiplash curves. The shoulders of the ring are the broad wide leaves of the plant and the ring shank is lightly textured to represent the velvety fuzz of the climbing vine. A very comfortable and unique ring to wear.
