Art Nouveau Moonstone Fringe Necklace

Inspired by an antique pendant I found in New Orleans,  Fringe necklaces were very popular in the 1910s. Part Arts and Crafts era and part Art Nouveau, I love the simplicity of this design, meant to showcase the stones in a soothing pattern of ovals. The fringe provides movement, swinging gently with your every move. 

 This pendant is composed of a stunningly figured Rainbow moonstone and a trio of blue moonstone cabochons, the color play is quite beautiful. Moonstone is thought to represent New Beginnings, Personal Transformations and Feminine Energy. This pendant is suspended on a delicate 18" sterling silver chain.
