Angular Brigid’s Cross in sterling silver

$ 165.00

At the center of many Imbolc celebrations is the making of a Brigid’s Cross. Often created from rushes or reeds to celebrate the return of Spring, the cross is often hung outside the home as a blessing against hunger, fire, and malevolent forces. Brigid is often portrayed as the Springtime manifestation of the Cailleach, Celtic tradition says the hag of winter becomes the maiden in Spring.
When we welcome Brigid into our homes at the start of spring, we also welcome a renewal of life and beauty.
